Academic Qualification
  • A recognised bachelor’s degree or an equivalent professional qualification (with no work experience requirement); or

  • A recognised diploma plus a minimum of four years of work experience.

Language Proficiency Requirement

Applicants should fulfill any one of the following requirements: 

  1. Hold a bachelor’s degree  which is obtained from a recognised institution where English is the medium of instruction; or
  2. Provide any of the following English test results for meeting the English proficiency requirements. The test result provided should be within two years from the date of issuance of the Admission Offer letter. Test results of TOEFL iBT Home Edition, TOEFL MyBest Score, , IELTS Indicator, IELTS One Skill Retake and IELTS Online are not acceptable.
  • TOEFL iBT: Total score not lower than 79 ; or

  • IELTS (Academic): Overall band score at 6.5.

  • HKID card (for local applicants); Passport and/or other identity documents of home country (for non-local applicants)

  • Degree certificate(s)/ graduation diploma(s), and latest official transcript(s) of all academic qualification(s) supporting the application

  • English proficiency test results (TOEFL/ IELTS results), if applicable

  • Recent Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  • Work experience proof, if applicable

Application Period & Selection Process

Applications operate on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview* and sit for an online written test during the application period or until all places are filled. We recommend that non-local applicants apply as early as possible to allow sufficient time for applying for student visas.** Admitted applicants from overseas or mainland China must obtain a student visa to study in Hong Kong.
 

* Selected applicants will be interviewed either in person or via teleconferencing

** All student visa applicants are advised to submit your study application ahead of the deadline as it normally takes ten to twelve weeks to process a visa.

Application Procedures

1. Complete the online application form.

2. Consider choosing one academic referee and one professional referee (for those with working experience). The academic referee should be able to comment on your academic ability and preferably have direct experience of your academic work. The professional referee can be your current or previous employer who should be able to assess your professional abilities.

3. Check the accuracy of your referee's email addresses as reference request emails are sent to your referees once you submit your application. Referees are contacted by the Taught Postgraduate Studies Section via email with detailed instructions on how to submit an online confidential reference form.

4. Upload all the supporting documents together with the Application Form to the Academic Registry (AR) website and pay the non-refundable application fee.
