One year for full-time mode and two years for the part-time mode. A typical course involves 5-days of class contact. Class time is between 0900 and 1800 on Weekends (both Saturdays and Sundays). Full-time students have workshops on weekdays. The class schedule of the admission intake will be available in around May of the intake year.
There are 7 core courses and 3 elective courses.
Student assessment is mostly based on class participation, individual assignments and group projects using the active learning approach.

HKBU's degrees are recognised internationally. The Department of Management, Marketing and Information Systems is an approved centre of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). MHRM students who registered as a CIPD student member throughout their study will automatically gain the CIPD Associate membership upon successful completion of the MHRM programme.
This MHRM degree is also endorsed by the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management. It is Level 6 under the Qualifications Framework (QF) of The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
